In this session, music lawyer Byron Pascoe will dive into the topic of music law agreements, specifically for songwriters and producers. He will answer general music law questions relevant for singer/songwriters and writers who focus on writing for other performers. Included in the discussion, Byron will also touch on other common music law agreements, negotiation strategies and red flags.
 
Byron Pascoe is a music lawyer. He works with performing artists, songwriters, producers, managers and music companies across Canada, including to help them understand and negotiate the agreements they’re asked to sign. He also prepares agreements that his clients want others to sign. Byron helps his clients with producer, record label, publishing, distribution, management, and other music agreements, and also provides advice and assistance with their business structures.
