About Aileen de la Cruz

Aileen de la Cruz is one of Western Canada's most prolific writers and performers. A self-taught musician who began playing the piano at the tender age of 2, Aileen has launched one of the most talked about secondary careers aside her stage performance background as a writer and major session vocalist. Signed to Cymba Music Publishing, piloted by ex-RCA A&R VP Vincent Degiorgio, Aileen has written with the likes of Hipjoint Inc's Troy Samson and Mike James, Hedley and Loverboy songwriter/producer Davor Vulama, Kenya Nelson, Toronto's Derek Brin and Vancouver's Sherri St.Germaine. She has also written for the likes and performed with Japan's Satomi, Asian superstar Coco Lee, Canada's Kayle, and international superstars Snoop Dogg, Kreesha Turner and Young Jeezy have also had their tracks graced by Ai's involvement as a vocalist.

Her songs have been featured on ABC & NBC shows such as "Dancing with the Stars", "Keeping with the Kardashians", "So you Think You Can Dance", "Knight Rider" and also the TV trailor for the Movie "Fantastic Mr.Fox". Other TV shows include "The Guard", "Show Me Yours", "Pure Design", "She's Crazy" and the made for television film "Lesser Evil".

Aileen was also one genesis performers of the Vancouver based event "Soul Sistas", which is helmed by her creative colleague Jena Fair. Faithful to her Filipina roots, she has also shared the stages with Joey Albert, Kuh Ledesma and Zsa Zsa Padilla. This 2010 you will see Aileen moving into artist development and perhaps a record of her own.
