[Lyrics]

I had a friends who died in my arms, I set him free, and that friends who died in my arms, I felt his energy, no I don't feel afraid for him, no I don't feel ashamed, I had a friend who lied in my arms, looking up at me, and when he died I felt something inside take over me, when he died it was raining and it's raining today, when he died it was raining, will I see him again. I had a friend and when he died in my arms he took a piece of me, and that friend when he died in my arms well he showed me, that this life is only one part, we'll all be set free. when I saw him for the last time I tried not to cry, I had a friend who died in my arms looking up at me, and that friend who died in my arms I set him free.

Biography:

Andrew Zlak was born in Kitchener Ontario May 20th 1983. A born drummer, Andrew finally got his first kit at the age of 12 and never looked back. When Andrew graduated high school he was playing more then just drums and writing music with multiple bands. One of those bands, The Piercing Falsettos released their debut self titled album in the summer of 2007. By the time Andrew was in his early 20’s he opened his own recording studio, STUDIOZ and started recording and producing his own music as well as recording and producing the music of other Canadian musicians. After a few years of recording demos and working on various projects, Andrew was ready to start work on his first album. Pass you by (released summer 09) contains a variety of styles from rock to folk music.
Andrew not only wrote all the music for the album, he also produced it himself. While playing almost all the instruments on the album himself Andrew invited some solo artists (Jon Dunford,Nick Fuller and Mike Fisher) to come to the studio and record a few bass and guitar tracks. The boys did a great job in the studio and “Pass you by” is an album with an original sound that is sure to stand the test of time. At only age 27 Andrew Zlak is a force to be reckoned with and will be releasing music for many years to come.
