Be Nice © (Andy Todd May 2011)

Verse 1.
D
Gimmee just a second while I shake my head

I really can’t believe what you just said

It drives me crazy, when you act that way

You coulda’ thought of something much nicer to say

So get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Verse 2.

I don’t know why you always have to be so rude

It’s really no wonder you’re misunderstood

You should know better with your IQ

Try to act your age and not the size of your shoe

So get smart // have a heart // be nice.

Bridge:

A smile is really just a frown upside down

It really isn’t all that hard

Nobody ever needs to be put down

Everyone deserves to be heard

A little bit o’ kindness goes a long, long way

It never hurts to be nice!

So get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Instrumental

Verse 3.

You know that I learned a long time ago

It’s better to look the fool than prove it’s so

Sometimes it’s better not to say a word

Than take the chance of hurtin’ someone that you love

So get smart // have a heart // be nice

Verse 4.

There’s nothing wrong with havin’ fun and acting the fool

You gotta think first before you say something cruel

My Momma said beauty is as beauty does

You know I really don’t wanna make a big fuss

But get smart // have a heart // be nice.

Repeat Bridge

A smile is really just a frown upside down

It really isn’t all that hard

Nobody ever needs to be put down

Everyone deserves to be heard

A little bit o’ kindness goes a long, long way

It never hurts to be nice!

So get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Verse 5.

D
Hold on just a minute while I catch my breath

Stop and think about what you just said

If you act like that I’m gonna walk away

If you can’t think of something just say “have a nice day”

And get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Yea get smart // have a heart // be nice.

And get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Yea get smart // have a heart // be nice.

And get smart // have a heart // think twice.

Yea get smart // have a heart // be nice.

Swamp Thing © Version 1 (Music: Pat Greisberg , Lyrics: Andy Todd 2011)

Deep down in the Bayou just this side of New Orleans

When a full moon’s on the rise you can hear it scream

Cajun folk lock their doors and pull their shutters tight

They all know they’ll lose their soul if they go out tonight

You’ll here the devil sing as you feel the sting

Of the Swamp Thang

So when the moon is on the rise stay out of the Bayou

No sane man would dare to tread if they knew what I knew

Many men have entered there but very few survived

Those who did no doubt have wished that they had surely died

It’s on the prowl when you hear the howl

Of the Swamp Thang

Guitar Solo

Out there in the Bayou when the moon is full and bright

Screaming like a Banshee in the middle of the night

They say there was firestorm the night that it was born

Some say it was a voodoo curse some say the devil’s spawn

You’ll here the devil sing as you feel the sting

Of the Swamp Thang

It’s on the prowl when you hear the howl,

Of the Swamp Thang, yeh the swamp thang

You’re Never Too Young © (Andy Todd July 2011)

Verse 1

G
She said son, why don’t you come sit beside me for a while

Politely as I could, I declined; she just smiled

She looked at me across the room and poured herself some wine

Turned on the radio, and drew the blind.

Verse 2

She came to me across the floor slowly dancing

And asked me if I’d been with a woman before.

I said Ma’am you know I’m still in high school

She turned out the lights and locked the door.

Chorus:

She said you’re never too young son

You’re never too young

You’re never too young son

To have some fun.

Guitar Solo

Bridge:

I started shaking

She started taking me to heaven

I knew it was wrong

But oooh it felt nice

And when it was over

I wanted more of her lovin’

I’ll never forget

The Lady’s advice

Chorus:

She said you’re never too young son

You’re never too young

You’re never too young son

To have some fun.
