Songs by Angie Ricci

V 1
I remember the smell of the booze on your breath every time you came home
And I remember the fear in her eyes that you left when you walked through that door
And I’d lay in bed covers over my head
Praying to Jesus you’d go straight to bed and leave her alone

HOOK
Somehow I forgive you, deep inside I know it wasn’t you
You were always weaker than the rest
But it hurt to see my hero go from nothing to a zero
In 20 ounces or less

V2
Do you remember the day and the call that you got from the girl on the phone
Do you remember the sound of her voice as she cried said she didn’t wanna come home
She asked how’s a house supposed to be a home
when your mother’s passed out on the living room floor
there was never any food on the stove to eat cause you drank away all the groceries,
ya you drank away all the groceries

HOOK
Somehow she forgives you, deep inside she knows it wasn’t true
You were always weaker than the rest
But it hurt to see my hero go from nothing to a zero
In 20 ounces or less

BRIDGE
This time you went too far
What were you thinking when you got into the car
News said the crash took 5, how can it be that the driver survived
Alternate - News said the crash took 5, must have been a reason that he kept you alive

HOOK

[Lyrics]

Verse 1
They walk in the room you know their face
They tell you what they’re doing to you is OK, K, K
They’re visiting more often now
and I’m pretty sure it’s everyday
I close my eyes and I wait for it to end
But it feels, but it feels like forever it seems
Even though it’s been 10 years or more
It feels like yesterday in my dreams

Chorus
In my dreams I can see you, In my dreams I can feel you
reaching out to me, reaching out to me
In my dreams I can see, In my dreams I can feel, fear you gave to me

Verse 2
I got my friends and we’re ok
Saw my brother just the other day
We sat around and reminisced
About the old times, things we missed

I got me a new love and we’re doing fine
Someone to keep me warm at night, night
A little shelter from the storm
And everyday I’m less alone

Chorus
In my dreams I can see you, In my dreams I can feel you
reaching out to me, reaching out to me
In my dreams I can see, In my dreams I can feel, fear you gave to me

Pre
I always trusted you, what ever did I do to you
You said it would be OK
Even though you’re gone, oh you still live on in my dreams

Chorus
In my dreams I can see you, In my dreams I can feel you
reaching out to me, reaching out to me
In my dreams I can see, In my dreams I can feel, fear you gave to me

But you lied, I cried, you died
Ooh you died In my dreams

[Lyrics]

V1
When I can’t pay my debt, I’m in over my head
And I can’t drive my car ‘cause without gas it won’t go far
Every Friday night when my friends are outside
I’ll be stuck here at home I don’t even have a cell phone
Alternate-
When the weekend comes and my friends are all gone
I’ll be stuck here at home, I don’t even have a cell phone

Chorus
I don’t want to live just to exist
I don’t want to spend my life paying for the things that I’ll missed
I don’t want to live just to exist
I don’t want to spend my life paying for the things that I’ll missed

V2
Thought I’d be happy but I’m sad, trying to keep up with this pace
I gave up everything I had to put a smile on your face
But when the party’s all over and the money’s all gone
Will you be by my side or holding someone else’s arm

Chorus

BRIDGE
I’m supposed to have a family, a house and a car
A couple of kids and a dog in the yard
What if I don’t want all the things they’re telling me
Will my life have less meaning, am I living in vein
Am I living in vein

I don’t want live just to exist
I don’t want to live just to exist
I don’t want to spend my life paying for the things that I’ll missed
I don’t want to live just to exist
I don’t want to spend my life paying for the things that I’ll missed

[Lyrics]

They tell me love plays tricks on you
I’ll hear your voice when you’re no where in the room
They tell me love is a feeling I’ll get
You’re long gone but I thought we just met
They tell me love is all the rage
Well I feel emotion anger and rage
Got a fairy tale but it’s missing a page
Since you got up and walked away

CHORUS
Love is the fire from the spark
Love is the pain within my heart
Love is over when it starts
That’s it, that’s it that’s it

Well I turned on Cheaters late at night
Everybody loves Raymond, well except for his wife
And Whitney Loves Bobby but they always fight
I can find Mr. Clean but I can’t find Mr. Right
Oooohhh hooo
I’m better off by myself
Unlike those others girls you ca lace upon the shelf
And if you think I am, you better check yourself
Check yourself check yourself check yourself

CHORUS

BRIDGE
Maybe, maybe they tell me love is blind
That I’m too young I should take my time
Oooo baby, baby am I ever gonna find
The love I’ve been waiting for y whole live

CHORUS

[Lyrics]

Verse 1
I was minding my own business just the other day
When I heard them mention your name
I thought it was a big mistake
They were talking about this guy
who’d been cheating on this girl you see
Then suddenly I realize the girl they were talking bout ….was me

All those nights alone
Betcha didn’t know I would drive by your house you’re never home
Something bout your tone said you weren’t alone
Don’t try to make a fool of me

Chorus
Stand Back!
Take your lies and go away
I’m better off without you and these games you are playing
Stand Back
What don’t you understand
I’m tired of the cheating taken all I can stand

Snow
Shes never needed to be mistreated but the things that you did were just wrong
Now that shes moving on now that shes standing strong she’ll be like the wind and blow on

Verse 2

I saw you and I realized
It’s all lies I can see it in your eyes
Somebody ain’t being true
don’t tell me that she wasn’t with you
And where were you late last night
I walked away for the very last time
I’m moving on you’re wasting my time
And now I’m leaving you behind

And I followed you and you didn’t have a clue
Now I’m through with you my boo
I said my I said my boo

Chorus

Bridge (SNOW)
Now you know, telling ya now ya know
You messed with the Melody you mess with this SNOW
Hope you hope you understand messing up your plan
Now she is alone and she don’t have no more man
Tick-tick tick- tick time what cha not gonna find
Your messing with the abg at the same time…..
We not joke we not play mess around the way
We …run run things everyday

Chorus
You took my love you broke my trust
And baby that’s the end of us!

Biography:

Like most parents that put their dreams on hold to raise a family Angie Ricci aka Amomnus pronounced "a mom n us" has finally acknowledge that at age 50 it’s time to invest in her craft by joining Songwriters Association of Canada.

She began her collection of songs by writing for friends and family in her early teens. Her favourite pastime was jamming with local musicians including her own brother Chris Ricci who to date still plays in five different tribute bands across Ontario. Between starting up her own business Angel Tours & Entertainment Inc. (a Motorcoach company) and raising her two kids (adults now) she has spent the last 20 years enjoying motherhood which is her true calling. Now an Empty-Nesta Ricci is pursuing her dreams of being a songwriter. She laughs “I don’t have the chops to give up my day job so my daughter Sarah Melody does the vox on some of my demos. We're quite the close family unit, even my son dabbles in comedic parodies

Living her dream through her own daughter Sarah Melody (Pop/Rock artist), Ricci has supported Melody’s journey over the last 8 years with her own music and has co-written on some of her daughter’s singles including “Yearbook”.

Already an entrepreneur in the transportation sector she branched out into the music industry by opening her own recording studio Dreambay Studios in Barrie Ontario to help her creative outlook and to assist young bands in the community. Like most lyricists, song ideas surface daily “A lot of my concepts come to me in my sleep or when I’m behind the wheel. My phone is full of songs waiting to be finished. Sometimes I even have the instrumental sections in my head but don't really play an instrument so I rely on the interpretation of the producers who bring it to life. There 's nothing like hearing the finished product .

Ricci says “It’s never too late to do what you love, this time, part time, sometime, anytime,
