Housewife Blues

Housewife Blues

So you had a hard day, you were gonna say?
You wanna know the truth, It ain’t just you you you you you you,
You you you you you.
I’ve done my share, worked my hands to the bone before and
Now I’m here, alone with the children all day long, the children all day long…
Well what’d you think, it all comes for free?
I’ve got news for you, that money don’t grow on trees,
No, money don’t grow, money don’t grow, money don’t grow on trees
Yeah, money don’t grow, money don’t grow, money don’t grow, don’t grow on trees.
Well we’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light
We’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light.
I remember my sweet life before I met you, you promised me the world if I stayed
And all I ever do now is work hard, and honey all you ever do is play!!
So you go to work, you get your break from home,
Well don’t be a jerk, or in the bedroom it ain’t gonna work , the bedroom it ain’t gonna work.
You don’t give it up, cause your too tired
Well I’ve got needs, and you don’t wake up at six like me
No you don't know, no you don’t know, no you don’t know what it’s like to be me
No you don't know, no you don’t know, no you don’t know what it’s like to be me.
Well we’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light
Yeah we’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light.
I remember my sweet life before I met you, you promised me the world if I stayed, yeah
And all I ever do now is work hard, honey all you ever do is play !!
We’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light
We’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light
We’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up ‘til the morning light
We’re gonna love and we’re gonna fight then make it all up , it will be alright.

Truth and Whisky

Truth and Whisky
Becky Hull

Road trip’s in order and the gang piles in
Where we headed boys, out to the mountains
Just a good old time it was all supposed to be
Let’s get the party started and grab the whisky
Yeah get the party started and grab the whisky.
And up went the fire and the music got higher
Between those big old rocks and men
Kept pushin’ ‘em down, gotta love that Crown
But the truth comes up when the whisky goes down
Yeah the truth comes up when the whisky goes down.
Moving loosely now one slipped his tongue
“You did what you said, while I was gone”
His little brother was looking after his farm
And his lonely little lady never meant no harm
No the lonely little lady never meant no harm
And up went the fire and the music got higher
Between those big old rocks and men
Kept pushin’ ‘em down, gotta love that Crown
But the truth comes up when the whisky goes down
Yeah the truth comes up when the whisky goes down.
And the fight broke out, testosterone flew
They’ll finish the night with a family feud.
And up went the fire and the music got higher
Between those big old rocks and men
Kept pushin’ ‘em down, gotta love that Crown, Royal that is...
But the truth comes up when the whisky goes down
Oh Yeah the truth comes up when the whisky goes down.
And up went the fire and the music got higher
Between those big old rocks and men
Kept pushin’ ‘em down, gotta love that Crown,
But the truth comes up when the whisky goes down
Oh Yeah the truth comes up when the whisky goes down.
Truth comes up, when the whisky goes down
Truth and whisky, truth and whisky.

What If

What If Becky Hull

Looking back on that old familiar day, where I spent my choices and went my own way
There was never, a lack of love, but a lack of experience
It makes me think what could have been
If we were older, a little bit wiser, a little bit stronger?? But…..
What if, what if the sky never turned blue, and what if the sun didn't shine,
What if I never met you, and what if I didn’t decline
Where would I be, would you be here with me?
What if.
And what if I, would have beared your child, would I still, have run so wild
What if things weren’t so easy, would you have worked a little harder
Just to please me?
A little more effort, a little more confidence, a little more try.
What if, what if the sky never turned blue, and what if the sun didn't shine,
What if I never met you, and what if I didn’t decline
Where would I be, would you be here with me?
What if.
But we can’t live our lives, living in scenarios
Thinking about what could have been, sayin’
What if, what if the sky never turned blue, and what if the sun didn't shine,
What if I never met you, and what if I didn’t decline
Where would I be, would you be here with me?
What if.
What if the sky never turned blue, and what if the sun didn't shine,
What if I never met you, and what if I didn’t decline
Where would I be, would you be here with me?
What if.

Biography:

My name is Becky Hull, I am a singer songwriter from Sangudo Alberta Canada, who has lived music since I was a very young child. I write a fresh mix of Modern & Classic Country. Currently I am recording two more songs at Turnkey Studio’s in Edmonton, Alberta. I have a music video for the single “What If” , you can find on my website. My small band and I are starting to book gigs for the year and I’m excited about promoting my songs and first Album printed “What If” . The album has 3 singles on it, that I co-produced and wrote. I have been through many things in my short life that have allowed me to write songs based on real life experiences as well as my imagination. People who know my songs tell me they are relatable to almost any audience and they ALL have a story to tell. Musicians who inspire me are Miranda Lambert, Bonnie Riatt , Dire Straits, Tracy Chapman, and Johnny Cash.
I love to write songs that have feeling attached and leave you with something to think about afterwards. Some of my songs will catch you the first time around , and others become favourites as you continue listening. My Father has helped me to finish the songs and perfect them as I go as well as other people that I play music with on a weekly basis. I am a real music lover and love to be on stage, doing what I love. My heart is healthy when I play music, and I believe it shows when I perform.
My other inspirations for music and writing come from my Mom and Dad, who love to sing and play any day of the week. We had a family band with my 3 older brothers for years and played at music festivals and many hometown events as well as good old campfire picking. I also play with my husband Kevin and my two daughters Zia and Pepper Ann.
Aside from music, I love to Team Rope and barrel race with my husband Kevin, and my family. We are still getting into it, but it is our “thing” and plan to keep it a part of our lives for a long time. I live with my family on a ranch way out in the boondox with my horses and my dogs , and love every minute of it.
