World Of Lies

World Of Lies – Dan Pharoah

The times are a changing
We’re no longer at peace
The world is overtaken
By a bunch of thieves

The bad times are coming
Then they will leave
What is important
Is what happens in between

Chorus
We’re trapped in a world of lies
Nothing is as it seems
We’re trapped in a world of lies
The truth has to be seen

The lies trickle downward
From the very top
It’s all about power
They’re trying to scare you off

It’s gonna take a revolution
Against complacency
The only solution
Is real democracy

Chorus
We’re trapped in a world of lies
Nothing is as it seems
We’re trapped in a world of lies
The truth has to be seen

So rise up people
We’ve got some work to do
I said rise up people
We’ve got to face the truth

Chorus
We’re trapped in a world of lies
Nothing is as it seems
We’re trapped in a world of lies
The truth has to be seen

Biography:

Dan Pharoah is originally a drummer who wrote a song in a high school rock band called Smell The Glove. That song , How Could I let You Go, inspired him to buy a guitar and learn the three chords that started his journey as a singer/songwriter. Dan's first album titled The Whole Dan Rock Show was completed in his home studio without the help of anyone else. It had 5 instrumental rock tracks that were placed in a short film titled 3:16 pm. Dan's second album was titled It's Just Me and it focused on his folk/rock music that was a mix of both dark and light topics and still was made by Dan other than the song Sweet Earlene that was co-written by Livingston Lacroix a spoken word artist.
After attending Songstudio in 2012 Dan learned more about co- writing and the art of crafting his songs. At the beginning of 2013 he took two Coursera.com courses from Berkeley School Of Music. Songwriting with Pat Pattison and Introduction To Music Production with Loudon Stearns. This sent Dan on his goal of recording his third album which has yet to be released. 16 tracks are recorded and a folk album called Lucky Dad and a separate rock album called Drunk Puppy are in the works.
