Biography:

Raised between the musical bookends of Chopin etudes and the jazz of Duke Ellington, the guitar entered my world at age 13 and I have played it for most of my days, since. With my first three chords, song writing became the most important aspect of music and continues to be the engine behind the music that I make.

Not wanting to codify it too much, my compositions run somewhat haphazardly through blues, jazz and roots genres. To that end, I have added bottleneck slide, tenor banjo, ukulele and harmonica to the sonic palette that imbues my work.

A composition is not considered a whole song until it is performed for an audience and I attempt to "play out" as much as possible; mainly here in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and on Vancouver Island. A recording of original songs is currently in production with a working title of "Main Street, Sunday Afternoon" with hope of completion by Spring 2012.
