Doesn't Matter

Doesn't Matter
Verse 1
Doesn't matter, doesn't matter
Doesn't matter, doesn't matter
Doesn't matter what I do
Today I'm missing you
Today I'm feeling blue
Chorus
When I think of you
Plan fun things we can do
Helps pass the time each day
When you are, so far away
Verse 2
Doesn't matter what the words are
When they come from your heart
Doesn't matter that they feel strong
I still feel how far we're apart
Verse 3
Doesn't matter that I'm lonely
When there's people all around
You know you are my one and only
When will you be back in town
Chorus
Verse 4
Doesn't matter that I'm busy
Finding things to fill my day
You may think I'm being silly
But I can't help feeling this way
Verse 5
Friends and family ask me
How we are and about you
I tell them that we're happy
Not how much I'm missing you
Break
Dreams, illusions
Passion stirs within me
Holding on til your back
Until your back
Chorus (hold far away)
Repeat Verse 1
Tag last line... Today I'm missing, I'm missing, I'm missing, I'm missing you
I'm missing you
I'm missing you

Ebb and Flow

Verse 1
Chains on my life
Dark thoughts, treasured inside
Hurt feelings flow
I'm terrified
Chorus 1
Feeling strong again
Life with dreams again
Move past the demons deep below
Ebb and Flow X2
Verse 2
Drifting in time
Moving through, changing tides
Rough passage home
I'll survive
Chorus 2
Boundaries have been betrayed
Healing words to say
Should I hold, let it go
Ebb and Flow X2
Bridge
Free memories in me...yah
Hearts have been broken
Days lost and stolen
Dangerous channels ahead
Caught up in the cycle...
Ebb and Flow...
Instrumental
Verse 3
Safe harbour my soul
Found calm, within a storm
Veer from the past
Time goes by
Chorus 3
Open my heart again
Risk feeling love again
Wounds from the past haven't closed
Ebb and Flow X2

Wounds from the past haven't closed
Should I hold or let them go
Move past the demons deep below
Free memories in me....yah

Biography:

Hi there,

My name is Kathryn Jean and I'm a Canadian songwriter who composes, sings, writes lyrics, ditties, poetry and short stories.

Born in Ontario, I moved out to the West Coast as a young girl with my family and grew up enjoying all types of music. I learned to play the piano, guitar, flute and other instruments through my school years. I discovered an inner desire to write songs, find my inner poetry and acknowledge special moments of life through short stories.

I reside in Campbell River, BC with my husband Brian. I enjoy composing, singing, writing, recording and playing.
Best,
Kathryn Jean
