Biography:
My writing influence comes from an early period of pop, rock and country music. With that said, I am influenced daily by contemporary artists. Originally from Toronto, my early years of writing and performing were in the form of various punky/garage rock and indie country/americana style bands. Today, I live in Sackville, New Brunswick. It's a peaceful place to live and write. All of my current music is written, recorded and performed by myself. Motivated by trying to find that perfect combination of notes, chords and lyrics, a brief glimpse of the soul, express an honesty, telling a story or speaking in metaphor.
My last official release was with a band called We Are Action. This music was heavily influenced by indie pop icons My Bloody Valentine, Spoon, Guided By Voices and Granddaddy.
Today, my solo music is heavily skewed towards country/folk and Americana or as I like to call it "Country-billy". Ryan Adams is a big influence. He portraits a perfect balance of stage persona and singer/songwriter talent. His resume of work is impressive covering various music styles from traditional country, blues, rock, and punk rock. I relate closely to this as my writing background has covered many similar styles.
