Roses

Roses

You know it’s hard
For me to say what I want to say
You’re keeping calm
That either way, it’s all okay

You give me time
As I clam up and hide my skin
But it’s more than shy
I’m used to shame, it always wins

But I wish I could be like everyone else
And be open with everything inside myself
Maybe I should just get over it

And cover it in roses
That everything’s all right
No one needs to notice
What hides in plain sight
When all of it unfolds, it
Seems that past is behind
I’ll cover it in roses
I’ll cover it in roses

You know I try
I see the golden in my veins
It fades, but I
See you trace them anyway

You give me more
Than I could ever feel deserved
My heart is yours
I’m sorry when I feel reserved

I wish I could be like everyone else
And be open with everything inside myself
Maybe I should just get over it

And cover it in roses
That everything’s all right
No one needs to notice
What hides in plain sight
When all of it unfolds, it
Seems that past is behind
I’ll cover it in roses
I’ll cover it in roses

Your careful heart
Won’t raise your voice to silence mine
You see the scars
I cover up, but love is blind

I wish I could fix this mess by myself
But I’m secretly happy that you want to help
You never tell me to get over it

Or cover it in roses
That everything’s all right
No one needs to notice
What hides in plain sight
You see me in these moments
And I don’t have to hide
Or cover it in roses
Or cover it in roses

Wild Hearts

Wild Hearts

Remember when we said
That we’d be friends
Well doesn’t fit
Does it?

We’ve gone to see the world
To explore
If we’re adventurous
What’s a little risk?

We all know that it happens sometimes
That everything becomes intertwined

Hold my hand we’ll
Run towards the
Sun before it’s down
Come, my love, our
Wild hearts are
Lighting sparks freestyle
Let’s stay here for a while
Let’s stay here for a while

We’ve always had this heat
Then the moments go weak
This love is reckless
But a little expected

Please don’t be afraid
Can’t go back anyway
You’ll never lose me
It’s not confusing

We all know that it happens sometimes
That everything becomes intertwined

Hold my hand we’ll
Run towards the
Sun before it’s down
Come, my love, our
Wild hearts are
Lighting sparks freestyle
Let’s stay here for a while
Let’s stay here for a while

And maybe we were reckless
I don’t blame you to regret this
But what we have now, my dear
Just might be worth what we have here

Hold my hand we’ll
Run towards the
Sun before it’s down
Come, my love, our
Wild hearts are
Lighting sparks freestyle
Let’s stay here for a while
