I am a 57 year old singer/songwriter and story teller, having written my first song at age 7. I started singing in school and church choirs and progressed to musical theatre. In 2016, I retired and decided to pick up the guitar and started lessons with Eric Treleaven. In 2018, I wrote my first song as an adult called, "What You Left Me For" and performed it at the Compass Music Academy Spring Concert. Since then, I have gone on to write approximately 50 songs, recorded my first album and am working on two other albums. Although I do play guitar, my voice is my first instrument. I have learned that I can sing the parts of the instruments I want in a song, and certain recording computer software can translate it into the instruments. This is something of a necessity during COVID. I am grateful to be married to a wonderful man for 35 years. He encourages me every day to follow my musical dream!
