S.A.C. Goes to Ottawa

The Songwriters Association of Canada has been invited to participate in a review of the Canadian music industry by the House of Commons Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage.  Our panel includes board members Greg Johnston and Jean-Robert Bisaillon, along with Edgar Bori from SPACQ, Natalie Bernadin and Benoit Henry from Alliance national de l’industrie musicale.    

The Committee is interested in hearing how technological changes are affecting the creation, distribution and consumption of Canadian music and how federal government support could be adjusted to respond to changes in the music industry.

Previously scheduled for March 6, the meeting has now been moved to Tuesday, April 1 from 11am - noon.  Members of the Songwriters Association of Canada are invited to tune into the proceedings which will be streamed live.  Click Here to stream:
